2026 calendars, fundraising for a new hospital bed

Hey there, my name is Kim Anderson. I know I might be a stranger to some of you out there, so I thought a little intro would be nice. I'm a quadriplegic due to a car accident when I was just 18. I can't meaningfully move my body below my shoulders. Despite my limiting circumstances, I have managed to make the most of my time - four post-secondary degrees, three time winner of first runner-up Miss Wheelchair California, and I make my living fostering the next generation of students through tutoring. I also volunteer a lot of my time coaching and uplifting students globally.

I take care of my students, family, and friends as much as I can. But right now I need a little help. Back in August, my hospital bed broke. I am currently surviving with a bed I bought used on Facebook for $40. It is rickety, old, and slowly falling apart. I found a wonderful bed online that checks off every box I need in regard to my health and comfort. Unfortunately, my insurance will not just buy it for me. They told me I can buy it and maybe I can get some form of reimbursement. It's too expensive for me to buy on the chance that they might give some of my money back.

Last year, I was able to fundraise to fix my wheelchair bolt by selling calendars featuring my unique, mouth drawn art. I would like to do the same this year. If I sell 700 calendars, I will be able to get this dream bed and hopefully start out 2026 with better health outcomes.

November 18th update: so far, I've sold 63 calendars, 637 left to reach my goal. These also make fantastic Christmas gifts, and if you order before November 21st, I will be able to personalize these for each person you buy for!

My vision for the 2026 calendar is this: Easter eggs! Each month will have hidden gems in the pictures that I draw. And more excitingly, YOU have a chance to be in the art for your birth month! If you pre-order before Friday, November 21st, I will draw something that represents you in your birth month!

Not only that, but the entire calendar will BE a fun puzzle-like game for you to solve. Do you have the keen detective eye to crack the code? It's going to be really fun! It's not just a calendar, but it's also a mystery for you to solve!

Calendars will be $30 each, and you can pick them up in Murrieta if you don't want to pay shipping costs. Shipping will be $10 for however many calendars you decide to get. If you want to pay an additional $5, I will write a personalized fortune for you and put it on your birthday on the calendar! If you are gifting this calendar to anyone, this would be a great personal touch for them!

Each month will be beautiful and exciting. You can expect the high quality art that you got last year, but this year it's going to be even more fun and engaging!
